This may be a really stupid question, but I'm asking because im serious. Can gay people still be really religious? Considering in Christianity that being gay is a sin and many other religions. (i hope this doesn't come off as rude or sound degrading in anyway)

Hi there! Don’t worry honey, it’s not a stupid question nor a rude one, I get that it can be confusing. But yes, absolutely, gay people can be really religious! The thing is, the bible and God or Allah and just a lot of other things people believe in are not seen the same way by people. A perfect example I read here on Tumblr was one from Orange is the New Black, (not sure if you’ve watched that) but there was a woman that really believed in God and believed she was God’s angel, but then also believed that people who didn’t respect her had to die. And then there was this other woman who also really believed in God and was a nun, but she accepted everyone, and actually became great friends with a transgender woman. And this is a perfect example of life as we know it.

God is different for everybody. I know very religious people and they couldn’t care less if you’re gay. And then I know people are a little bit religious, but then still use God as an excuse for disliking homosexuals.

I hope this made sense? haha

Sometimes I wonder whether I have any real intelligence or if I just have enough random bits of surface knowledge to bullshit my way through most things.
